I am first and foremost a Dad, trying to do the best for his kids. Husband to wife, Sharon. I am a trained Occupational Therapist and Gym Instructor and I have an MBA. Through these studies I have worked helping injured people rehabilitate after injury and return to good health maximising their lives and often going on to be better people than they were before the accident. As such I understand the importance of engagement, community, health, role models, coaches and mentors.
I have held executive roles including CEO of the infamous National Safety Council of Australia (NSCA) and been successful in turning around the fortunes of all of the businesses I have led.
After sacrificing life balance and prioritising work before family during my strive to the top, I reached the pinnacle and found that I had missed the first five years of my first two children’s lives. The realisation of what I had missed whilst being focused on success made me realise that there must be more to life.
I am therefore on a mission to raise great people and help as many people as I can find balance and maximise their time, doing the things they want to do.
Leveraging my health science training, ability to instruct and executive leadership skills I have started my mission with Fired Up Dads.
My dream is to see more Dads engage with their families better and rediscover life. I want to ensure that Dads understand that their contribution to the raising of their children, being there for their families and the world in general is extremely important.
‘Engagement through Experience’ is the Fired Up Dads tag line.
At Fired Up Dads, Dads can learn from the experiences of other Dads via podcast interviews with Dads from all over the world and through participation in experiences and activities all aimed at helping Dads and their children improve health and bond in the interest of raising the next generation of well rounded contributors to society.
I provide coaching, mentoring and workshops to dads and executives, teaching productivity, self-optimisation, time maximisation and balance.
I am a motivational speaker on these topics also.
Finally, you can check out the Fired Up Dads website resources helping to make good Dads great.
Dads (or men in general) are notoriously insular. Men seldom talk about their struggles and usually seek answers in secret. Fired Up Dads aims to provide that secret source of information via a weekly podcast which interviews other Dads and parenting, health and family experts allowing mums and Dads to obtain information that confirms that being a Dad is not easy, but that it is great fun and the true meaning of life; the reason we are here.
Fired Up Dads is the ultimate resource for Fathers everywhere to share life, health, fun and time with their children. Look no further for support in your fatherly expedition, just get Fired Up.
