Provocative new research suggests that the outcomes for girls and boys can be different when parents go back to work, in particular mothers. The big question is WHY?

The show starts with some grabs from telephone calls the show received on the previous show which looked at parents raising children with autism. Some fascinating statements and insight into what has helped.
The show then turns to a new study ‘Mothers Employment and Children’s Educational Gender Gap’ which has been released which shows that when a mother returns to work children struggle but the impact is more profound on boys than it does on girls. The study also found that a fathers return to work has a negative impact on boys specifically.
